So that bad news was that I'd have to move into the House of Night, a private boarding school, known by all my friends as the vampyre finishing school, when I would spend the next four years doing through bizarre and unnameable physical changes, as well, as a total and permanent life shake-up. And that's only if the whole process didn't kill me.
But the good news was that I wouldn't have to take the geometry test tomorrow.
When sixteen-year-old Zoey is marked by the Tracker, she knows her old life is over. Now she has to leave her friends and family to join the House of Night school, where there is only one subject Zoey needs to study: Vanpyre 101.
Of course, there's always a catch, and this one's nice and simple: if you fail, you die . . .
Ok well Marked was an pretty good read :) My friend/neighbour Laura had been getting me to read it for agggggges since she got hooked and finally she bought me a copy for my birthday so I would read it. And when I did I understood what the fuss was about (tho sadly I agree with most... the series has been dragged). I instantly feel in love with Zoey, understanding her complications with guys. I agree that Aphrodite is a hateful bitch. And while it took me a few chapters I know love Stevie Ray and all her bumpkinness. Damien is very cute :) I love the gay guy friend. But my favourites have to be Erin and Shaunee, I love their attitude ! :D
Marked is a book which is good for those seeking a YA Vampyre novel. It is enjoying and has plenty of love and lust ;) but beware, if you are the type who cannot finish a serious, this one goes on... and on...

All any of us could talk about was Chris's disappearance and how bizarre it was the he had last been seen so close to the House of Night. I dind't want to believe it. But everything inside me said that the kid would be found, but he'd be found dead . . .
Things seem to be going pretty well for Zoey Redbird. She's settled in at the House of Night finishing school and is coming to terms with her incredible new powers. It all seems too good to be true. And guess what?
Someone has begun murdering himan teenagers, and all evidence points to the vampyres at Zoey's school. Which means her first assignment as the leader of the Dark Daughters is finding out which one of her classmates or - gulp - teachers is a killer.
Sigh. And she thought her boyfriends (yes: plural) were going to be her biggest problem this year . . .
Ok just realised I need to re-write this. It's been awhile since I've read Betrayed and I can't remember what exactly happened. Well basically in this one, her relationship continues with Erik Night, yet Heath comes back into this one. While attempting to break off her 'sorta' relationship with Heath, they imprint, with some juicy hookup/groping/bloodsucking sess in Heath's truck. As well as this, a new Vamp teacher is on the block. The young Poet Laurent who has his eyes set on Z.

I guess it had gone ok with Stevie Rae. I mean, she had agreed to meet me tomorrow. And she hadn't tried to bite me, which was a plus. Of course, the whole trying-to-eat-the-street-person thing was highly disturbing . . .
Zoey's best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead - in a eww! zombie! kind of way, not in a cool vampyre kind of way. She's struggling to retain her humanity and Zoey doesn't have a clue how to help. But she does know that anything they discover must be kept a secret.
Unfortunately, trust has become a rare commodity. Sinster forces are at work at the House of Night, where the line between friend and enemy is becoming dangerously blurred.
Ok so I gotta say, the best thing about Chosen would have to be the fact that Stevie Rae isn't dead :D Even though she is an undead, dead, undead zombie still it's Stevie Rae! And the worst thing would happen to be Neferet turning evil. Ahhh I missed the days in Marked when she was all nice and motherly. Now it's kinda like Neferet was killed and some imposter is in her place.
So basically the low down with Chosen is it starts off with Z's birthday. Explaining the whole how Zoey hates birthday's mushed with Christmas. Heath sends her a present and leaves this note about (which Zoey happens to drop infront of everyone) saying he knows how much she hates "Birthmas" presents. Which brings a nice touch of Erik-jealous-of-Heath-and-Zoey's-past into the story. Loren gets killed, but not before we find out how much of an evil fiend he is! He is a complete and utter a**hole!!! Excuse my French :P She cheats on Erik which makes me think "Wtf Z? You have an awsome boyfriend who has tolerated you and Heath and then you go and cheat on him with someone she barely knew. And then if that ain't bad enough we find out that Loren is really with Neferet and was just using her. So at the end Zoey is left with no friends, no boyfriends and only "ice queen" Aphrodite to make nice with, as well as Aphrodite is human :O Yeah she got Stevie Rae's humanity back, but at a price.
I did enjoy Chosen, it was juicy, but I didn't admire Zoey's whole cheating thing. Oh well... makes for an interesting character :P

'I saw the end of everything.' Aphrodite's voice was as haunted as her face. 'I saw all of it happening because you were dead, Zoey. Your death made it happen.' 'Ah hell,' I said and then my knees gave way and I had to sit down.
A week ago Zoey had a group of special friends, three boyfriends and a (kinda) clear conscience. Now she has none of the above. Luckily, ice queen Aphrodite is showing signs of melting and ex-roomie Stevie Rea isn't as dead as she's thought. Though Stevie Rae's now hanging out in tunnels with freaks - totally gross.
Assuming she can get them to listen, Zoey will need all her friends as events take a frightening turn at the House of Night school for vampyres. Shocking truth intentions are about the come to light, loyatlies will be tested and an ancient evil is about the rise again. Some days being special just doesn't seem all that . . .
Ok well... Untamed. At the beginning Zoey has no friends, except for Aphrodite. Well she's not really her friend, but she's all she's got, apart from Nala of course. Then she has the whole awkward scene at lunch where she sits and starts talking to them. That's where Stark comes into it. Zoey has another close guy moment with Stark, kissing him, but then he dies... Nerferet goes even more evil and Zoey discovers the annoyingly painful things called The Raven Mockers. At that point in time she has no idea what they are. Aphrodite though human, still gets her visions and they are as fun as ever. Grandma get's in a comma because of the stupid Raven Mockers. And... Zoey meets some awsome Nun's who look after cats and are totally cool with Vamps. As well as Neferet going as evil as she can. Bringing back an Ancient Evil God, Kalona. Epp! Glad I'm not Z.
Untamed was good to read (: I must admit I was getting a little annoying at the whole Zoey-boy-thing so I was like hurry up and chose one guy Z! I slowed down reading this one, as I too share the opinion that HON has been dragged out. Yet I am a sucker for series, once I start I cannot stop, so its safe to say there will be some more reviews from HON.

The door closed with a sickening thud os finality, shutting my friends out and leaving my alone with my enemy, a fallen angel and the monstrous bird creature his ancient lust had created. Then I did something I'd only done twice before in my entire life. I fainted.
It's all happening, though Zoey Redbird wishes it wasn't. She has her friends back, which is great. But a dark angel has taken over the House of Night supported by High Priestess Neferet. Not so great. This leaves Zoey hiding out with the (supposedly friendsly) red fledglings in Tulsa's prohibtion era tunnels. The not greatness continues.
Naturally, Zoey also has boy issures to stress her out, with a chance to make up with super-hot-ex Eric. But thoughts of the archer that died, semi-permanently, in her arms keep distracting her. Then he shows up as Neferet's newest minion. Well, hell. Zoey and friends will need a plan to put things right, and soon, if she can just keep her head and her heart intact.
Ok so Zoey has all her besties back or "nerd herd" as good ol' Aphrodite puts it. They are all getting cosey with Aphrodite's amazingly gorgeous Darius. How she managed to snag him... who knows, but I'm glad to see she isn't following in Z's footsteps in being a little bit of a wh*re. As well as Zoey's now ex- Erik, but oh no he can't stay her ex for long because Zoey must have some man in her life. So Erik conviently decides he wants Zoey back even thought she cheated on him with someone she barely knew, as well as not saying a final no to Heath. Though I am not complaining, Heath is my favourite of the boys, Stark included, not that I know him all that well. Speaking of Stark, Zoey is happy enough to go along with Erik's making out, but that does not stop her from thinking of Stark. Honestly Z, you've known him for what a few days and already your wanting to drop Erik for him... apart from the fact that Stark is Neferet's minion.
And then to complicate her boy matters Heath shows up. She does a little making out with him with Erik glowering in the distance and then gets attacked my the evil raven mockers. Kharma or what? Course not. She just had to get injured badly so they all decide she must go back to the House of Night. And does she go alone? No. Everyone all decides they want to come apart from Stevie Rae's freaking friends.
So they all go back to the House of Night and Zoey gets all lustful towards Kalona even though she knows he's wrong and gross and scary. Stark is all evil and nobody trusts him, but Zoey. And they spend a lot of time trying to find out what to do with Neferet and Kalona, which amounts to Zoey and her gang heading off to this massive Abby with the cat and vamp loving Nuns.
Zoey and her gang perform their elements ritual thing which somehow banishes Neferet and Kalona to who knows where, leaving Zoey wondering how to fight them for real in the next book. Tempted. It is in my possesion. Well Mum's. She's reading it first and then I will. Look forward to the review :P
