You meet these things called 'the jitter girls' just before you meet Kenny. Kenny the reporter who gets meddled up in all the magic. He starts going on about the Passage, some Necromancer thing, which is supposed to bring about some great thing for the world only no one knows what or how it does it so you don't get a good feeling about it.
Lord Vile is somewhere freaking people out and Craven makes his own Death Bringer. It's supposed to be Valkyrie, but Carven does some vodoo magic, craving symbols into this poor girl called Melancholia.
There is some boy tension with Valkyrie. She is secretly making out with Caelen because he's dangerous and she shouldn't. Yet he is all I love you Valkyrie, we are meant to be together and shes just basically like no. So you can imagine it gets messy when Valkyrie tells Fletch and they break up, yet he still saves her when she breaks things up with Caelen. So sad :(
Tanith still isn't found. Ghasty is still pawning for her. Nye is the new doctor. China betrayed Skulduggery's family. The Zombie King is running a bar. Thrasher is still cool. Skulduggery is Lord Vile. And Vile and Darquesse have an epic battle.
Lots of surprises
Oh yeah... and the passage involves killing 3 billion people. And Skulduggery and Valkyrie have seven days.
